Job Summary

** The Minnesota Department of Transportation does not sponsor applicants for work visas or Optional Practical Training Extensions for STEM Students. Individuals must be legally authorized to work in the US at the start of employment.

This position is located at Central Office in St. Paul and has the flexibility to telecommute, work a hybrid schedule, or work in the office.  The incumbent will be required to make a telework arrangement with their supervisor.  The incumbent may be expected to work in the office on occasion.

 

This position provides program and project management of Greater Minnesota Regional Transportation Coordinating Councils (RTCC) and the Transportation Coordination Assistance Projects (TCAP) for the Metro area. This includes managing statewide planning and implementation of the projects that will fill transportation gaps, streamline access to transportation, provide individuals more mobility options, and to enhance the individual’s overall travel experience. Responsibility extends to develop implementation projects that meet public transportation needs consistent with federal and state laws, regulations, and guidelines.

 

In State travel is required (25% of time) for meeting with RTCCs, TCAPs, and community stakeholders.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Two years of advanced professional experience in administering programs.

Experience must also demonstrate the following:

  • Experience with planning methods and practices.
  • Experience with program development.

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Public Administration, Planning, Business, Finance substitutes for six months of advanced professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with transportation service providers.
  • Experience managing projects with diverse sets of stakeholders including developing and maintaining relationships.
  • Experience implementing new programs or pilots.
