STARTING PAY RATE: $29.81 - $33.44 per hour based on a 35-hour workweek. Salary dependent on qualifications. The salary range for this position is $29.81 - $44.31. This position is represented by a union; you may refer to the AFSCME collective bargaining agreement available on our website.

JOB SUMMARY:
This position shall have the necessary skills, knowledge, and ability to coordinate all reporting, scheduling, and information maintenance procedures within the area of logistics responsibility. This position shall possess the necessary organizational, management, technical, interpersonal, and communication skills necessary to perform all assigned duties and responsibilities of the position.
To succeed in this role the ideal candidate will need to effectively communicate to a full range of people, be a critical thinker, be fiscally responsible; be able to shift gears comfortably, and have the ability to prioritize multiple projects, organize time and work cooperatively with others.
JOB DUTIES:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
A minimum of three years of experience in an information processing and customer handling role, preferably in an administrative function with a law enforcement background.
Possession of a valid driver’s license.
Proficiency with current computer software systems, including email, calendar programs, job specific software, and customer service systems preferred or within the first six months of employment.

JOB DUTIES:
- Oversees all facilities issues, such as utilities, remodeling, parking lot, building maintenance, etc, works closely with the Engineering and Public Works department and Community Development Orders supplies, oversees daily maintenance, and repairs for the detention center.
- Administers the department quartermaster system. Adjusts hours to accommodate quartermaster needs for midnight shift. Reconciles the quartermaster credit card statement by reviewing invoices for accuracy and obtaining receiving and backorder information. Enters and processes all quartermaster requisitions utilizing the quartermaster Access program.
- Oversees twenty-four hour maintenance staff. Works closely with maintenance supervisor and Engineering and Public Works to resolve any maintenance issues. Schedules special cleaning assignments which entail adjusting hours to accommodate weekend cleaning schedule. Monitors all contractors working at the Public Safety facility. Assists the Administration Division Manager with daily administrative functions of the logistics area.
- Purchases and maintains department equipment, supplies, and materials using requisition/purchase order procedures. Oversees department shipping and receiving of bulk items. Monitors inventory on all department property under one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) in value, coordinates with division equipment custodians. Prepares and submits asset removals for police department assets.
- Coordinates building projects and upgrades for the public safety facility. Solicits quotes and prepares justifications for the projects. Maintains and manages building and department property.
- Administers and manages the village wide electronic proximity card reader system. s which entails programming of the software, approvals for access requests, schedules repairs for all village buildings, and runs weekly and special request reports. Administers, manages, and programs of the detention center proximity card reader system which includes keeping user information current, ensures software is up to date and runs bi-monthly backups of system.
- Works with the Purchasing Division on division budget and purchasing issues. Assists with budget process by soliciting quotes and preparing budget justifications for the Logistics and Quartermaster budget.
- Maintains liaison with all other divisions and components of the department to ensure a high degree of cooperation and operating efficiency. Coordinates database and program Customer Service Requests (CSRs), equipment and office moves for any employee changes.
- Assists the Nursing Division and Engineering and Public Works with the Rx Program.
- Oversees vending machines at Public Safety which entails resolving employee and vendor issues.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
