 METROPOLITAN FAMILY SERVICES 

POSITION DESCRIPTION: EXEMPT  

TITLE: REGIONAL SITE SUPERVISOR, METROPOLITAN PEACE INITIATIVES 

ABOUT METROPOLITAN FAMILY SERVICES: 

Metropolitan Family Services (MFS) empower families to learn, to earn, to heal, to thrive. Part mentor,  part motivator, part advocate, since 1857 Metropolitan Family Services has been the engine of change  that empowers Chicago-area families to reach their greatest potential and positively impact their  communities. In collaboration with community partners in Chicago and dedicated funders, MFS  established Metropolitan Peace Initiatives in response to record levels of homicide and community  violence. The goal of this initiative is to provide a comprehensive, long-term approach to reduce  homicides resulting from gun violence. This framework brings together community-driven strategies that  empower community-based organizations to intervene with those individuals at the highest risk of driving  the violence while working with the overall resident population to transform perceptions and realities of  their community. This holistic framework responds to high-risk incidents while also being proactive in  preventing situations. A goal of this strategy is to increase the collaboration of community-based  organizations across communities. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

The Regional Site Supervisor will oversee all aspects of program management for their service area.    

Under general supervision of the Director of Program Operations. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  1. Evaluate Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and provide feedback for corrective actions  based on observations 

  2.  Review monthly reports with Program Directors/Managers to review data

  3. Complete quarterly reports for each agency 

  4. Attend and evaluate Light in the Night events. Provide feedback to agencies based on  observations 

  5. Attend site meetings  

  6. Provides consultation to staff to ensure implementation of best practice methods of  service provision, data collection, management and administrative practices.

  7. Utilizes cross-site expertise to develop best practice service models and in resolving  barriers to their implementation 

  8. Responsible for maintaining quality and quantity of services and documentation of  processes, successes, and challenges. Keeps abreast of client service needs and  participates in planning for them.

  9. Work collaboratively with the Program Supervisor to carry out Partnership goals and  look for other opportunities for program development 

  10. Coordinates with Data Analyst to use outcome data to inform program practice

  11. Assures integration of multi-service, multi-disciplinary, and systems approach to  program. 

  12. Works effectively with diverse staff and service population. 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Bachelor’s degree in Social Services or related field. Master’s degree preferred. Five years of experience  as a program supervisor with increasing levels of responsibility. Mobility for travel to Neighborhood  Safety Teams is required. Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and groups is necessary.
