Data Program Manager – Cristo Rey Network

Who: The Cristo Rey Network is the largest network of high schools in the country enrolling only low-income youth. Comprised of 35 Catholic, college preparatory schools serving over 12,000 students across 21 states and DC. The Cristo Rey Network delivers a distinctive approach to inner city education to equip students with the knowledge, character and skills to transform their lives.

What: The Cristo Rey Network seeks a Data Program Manager to oversee the collection, analysis and reporting of student and school performance data. This individual will help equip school leadership teams with the information and analysis to reach their goals of academic and operational excellence. The Data Program Manager will help ensure that the schools have timely access to accurate data so they may adjust and continuously improve their instructional and business practices as needed.
Key Responsibilities include:


  • Data Collection: 
    • Design and manage surveys and other data collection tools that ensure high-quality and accurate submissions for all routine data collection throughout the year across all major functional areas of our schools (including admissions, academics, Corporate Work Study, finance, etc.) 
    • Manage collection process and follow-up as needed with all 35 schools for prompt and high-quality data submissions 
  • Reporting: 
    • Create user-friendly and accurate reports throughout the year from collected data, including reports on school admissions progress, standardized test performance, student job performance, college application trends, and others. 
    • Respond to ad hoc data requests from stakeholders including management teams, funders, boards of directors, grantees, and external audiences. Design and develop research summaries, data reports, and dashboards, as appropriate. 
  • Analysis: 
    •  In collaboration with the Director of Strategy and Accountability, conduct analytical projects that leverage available data on school performance to identify trends and best practices 
  • Training: 
    • Together with the Director of Strategy and Accountability, provide webinar and virtual overviews of key data reports for school-level stakeholders highlighting key insights and recommended interpretation of the data 
    • As needed, provide in-house support to the Cristo Rey Network national office staff on use and interpretation of data reports and methods of data reporting and tracking 
  • Come to Serve: 
    • Every member of the Network team exists to serve the staff and students at our schools consistent with the mission of the Cristo Rey Network and should promote faithful adherence to the CRN Mission Effectiveness Standards. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; quantitative degree field preferred; Masters a plus2-4 years of relevant experience 
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (including Pivot Tables, complex formulas, chart design etc.) 
  • Strong analytical capabilities 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills 
  • Demonstrated commitment to the mission of the Cristo Rey Network
