Full-time position available. Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Intakes and assesses dangerousness or ability to be repaired of properties acquired from the tax sale. If repairable, estimates the cost to repair. Inspects properties to assess the conditions on occasion (like when there is a fire); to respond to complaints about mowing, boarding, dangerous trees, to assess whether a property should be taken as a donation. Fields internal and external complaints about the condition of Land Bank, Homesteading or City properties, investigates and determines a course of action. Handles customer service inquiries about Land Bank and Homesteading properties. Sets up showings and tours through the properties. Acts as NHSD’s “salespeople” to a certain extent and serves as the face of the Land Bank to our customers. Does one or more follow up inspections on sold properties to ensure customers are making the repairs they have promised to do. Acts as the database administrator for the Land Bank and prepares side lot sales applications for the Executive Director. REQUIRES an accredited Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration or a related field and 3 years of related progressively responsible, professional experience in housing and community development, neighborhood preservation or neighborhood services; OR an accredited Master’s degree in public or business administration or a related field and 1 year of related professional experience in housing and community development, neighborhood preservation or neighborhood services; OR an equivalent combination of qualifying education and experience.
