| Responsibilities |
| Responsible for managing the region’s proprietary geospatial mapping intelligence tool and its use including: map creation, implementation, promotion, maintenance, and technical support. This position will closely partner with our Marketing, Research and Brokerage. Responsibilities • Responsible for information design utilizing the company’s geospatial mapping tool in combination with other graphics tools. • Responsible for the maintenance, storage, and retrieval of “layers” used as components of Geospatial presentations relating to commercial real estate. o Create layers and the information populating these layers as required. Organizes and loads research data into the geospatial tool. o Maintain a well-organized and searchable database of layers that can easily be added or removed from presentations. o Assist other employees in locating and accessing the appropriate layers for presentations. • Quality control o Responsibility for standardizing best practices around the firm’s use of its Geospatial tool for presentations. o Train and support other team members in the use of the geospatial tool and will review presentations for optimum use and impact. o Maintain the database of mapping layers to contain up to date market information on an ongoing basis through collaboration with the research department and brokers. • Work closely with the National geospatial team to implement new solutions, ideas, and best practices. • Manages the process of taking data driven presentations pertaining to real estate, and enhancing them through geo-spacial mapping and information design. Delegates tasks to members of the project team as required. |
| Qualifications |
| Characteristics • Strategic thinker, who can create persuasive stories, arguments, and cases using geospatial maps, data, and information design. This person should be able to enhance a data driven story with information design and geospatial information. • A creative thinker, who has the ability to expand the uses of a geospatial tool to create ever more informative and engaging presentations. • A great collaborator, who has the ability to partner with various business lines within the company to create compelling presentations by infusing a dynamic geospatial component to commercial real estate presentations. Requirements • A minimum of 1-3 years in a corporate environment • Comfort and proficiency working with software tools, preferably mapping and visualization tools such as Google Earth. • Proficiency with a basic level of HTML coding • GIS abd mapping and visualization tools software including Google Earth • Possess an understanding of commercial real estate brokerage. • Experience as a Brokerage Analyst or Commercial Office or Industrial broker a plus. • Ability to participate in highly choreographed business presentations. • A basic level of proficiency with graphic design programs such as the Adobe Creative Suite is preferable. |
