Morreale Communications is an award-winning woman-owned public relations firm with a specialty focus in transforming outcomes in the areas of Transportation, Infrastructure & Mobility (TIM), Health & Wellness, Energy & Utilities and Public Affairs. We are looking to fill this newly created position to drive and manage project strategies with an eye on measuring key outcomes for our clients in our TIM practice. This position will serve as a key member of the leadership team to help guide project success, contribute to our company culture, and support new business initiatives.
This position reports to executive leadership and manages the TIM team in the areas of strategic communications, policy, and public involvement techniques, creative branding and design, social and digital media and event management.
Responsibilities include developing innovative communications techniques that shape public policy, build consensus and guide a strategic growth plan for the company. This person should have management and team-building experience, including setting goals for employees, measuring employee success and facilitating a creative and productive atmosphere for employees to reach their maximum potential. In addition to staff management, this person is involved with high-level strategy and task implementation.
As a member of Morreale leadership, this person will be expected to attend industry events and on behalf of the firm. This could include being part of panel discussions and driving thought leadership initiatives. The AVP works closely with executive leadership to oversee the day-to-day operations of the TIM team to support growth and add value to overall strategy development for client projects.

Position Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement and lead a comprehensive and strategic internal and external communications and public engagement strategy to engage diverse audiences and stakeholders on local and statewide transportation, infrastructure, and mobility initiatives.
- Create versatile and strategic messages to serve as the foundation for complex and sensitive community issues.
- Support coordination and material development for briefings and ongoing communications with local elected officials, transportation and infrastructure departments, local and state partner agencies and local organizations.
- Serve as trusted client advisor, providing strategic counsel to senior level agency and department leaders, and executives.
- Bring forward-thinking ideas and solutions to elevate each project while ensuring best practices by establishing clear goals and objectives, meeting deliverables, and exceeding overall client expectations.
- Identify areas of growth for business development within TIM and participate in business and networking efforts such as industry events, and professional associations with the purpose of increasing the firm’s brand awareness and facilitating new business development initiatives.
- Build capacity within our existing client network to drive account growth via cross-sell opportunities.
- Manage, mentor and work alongside a collaborative team of smart and enthusiastic communication professionals.
- Manage daily operations of TIM to ensure client needs are being met on the project level and staff is meeting performance standards.
- Provide resource management to ensure utilizations, forecasts and staffing levels are being met to achieve business and revenue goals.
- Responsible for providing oversight and managing client accounts and project budgets.
Position Qualifications:
- 8+ years of professional experience, including management and senior-level roles.
- Experience and strong interest in transportation and infrastructure policy, preferred but not required.
- Experience with taking technical information and translating it into compelling graphics (info graphics) and other collateral materials.
- Strong eye for developing collateral materials with impactful visuals.
- Experience with job-costing and managing multiple project budgets simultaneously preferred.
- Experience with stakeholder engagement, coalition-building, earned/digital media, event management and legislative outreach preferred.
- A background in the transportation industry and an interest in business development is a plus but not essential.
- Candidates should possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Project (or other similar project management tool).
- Candidate must have reliable transportation and be able to travel to client locations and attend events as needed.
