Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Opportunity to be part of the next generation of multimodal transportation development in KCMO. Join a fast-paced project development office and support the design and construction of a multi-year, multi-million dollar capital project to expand the KC Streetcar system from Union Station to the UMKC Campus. Develops, implements/manages regulatory compliance programs for the KC Streetcar program and provide support to the Multimodal Transportation group of Public Works. Provides financial, human resources, program management support services to the Associate Director and professional staff in the Multimodal Transportation group. Provides grants management, regulatory compliance and program support services to the Streetcar Program Manager in the oversight of operation and maintenance of the KC Streetcar system. Works with contracted service providers, federal, state and local regulatory agencies in the oversight of multimodal transportation programs. Out of town travel may be required for training purposes. Knowledge of relevant FTA and NTD regulations and reporting requirements for rail transit systems helpful. Senior Accountant
REQUIRES an accredited Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or a related subject area and 5 years of professional experience in governmental or business accounting, including 2 years of intermediate professional accounting at the level of the City’s Accountant II; OR an equivalent combination of qualifying education and experience. REQUIRES an accredited Bachelor's degree and 3 years of progressively responsible, professional experience in business or public sector administration, with at least 2 years at the level of the City’s Senior Administrative Assistant; OR an equivalent combination of qualifying education and experience, with at least 3 years at the level of the City’s Senior Administrative Assistant. REQUIRES an accredited Master’s degree in public or business administration, urban or regional planning, economics, accounting, finance or a related field, OR an accredited Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration, urban or regional planning, economics, accounting, finance or a related field and 1 year of professional experience in public or business administration, corporate or municipal finance, budget, research, accounting or a related field.
