Who: The
College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Illinois at Chicago
What: Director
of Finance and Budget - Reporting to the Associate Dean for Administration this
position is a key member of the College's Administrative team. The position will be primarily engaged in
financial, business and budgetary matters at the College level as well as
business functions in the Dean's Office.
They will use their expertise and experience in finance, accounting and
business to analyze financial data in order to assess the financial health of
departments, programs and other budgeted activities. Will make recommendations and give advice on
optimal staffing, organization, policies and procedures in the financial and
budgetary areas of the College. This
position will be a liaison to the Campus budget office, the University Business
Office, LAS departments and other campus units.
Qualifications: Minimum
requirements are a bachelor's degree, preferably in a business related field,
Minimum of five years in an institution of higher education in a
finance/budget/business role. Preference
for a masters degree in a business related field, experience with data
management system set up, installation and maintenance, experience with Web
Intelligence/Business objects and other data reporting systems.
