Project Coordinator (Victim Services), City of Chicago

Who: City of Chicago:

What: Under general supervision, the class coordinates the administration, development, and implementation of a specific project or program moderate in size and scope for a City department, and performs related duties as required.

Responsibilities:
  • Directs and assists with implementation of a large size grant funded project
  • Coordinates and administers city-wide initiatives, departmental programs, and special projects of a complex nature
  • Directs staff, consultants, and government agencies toward successful timely completion of program goals, initiatives, and deliverables
  • Establishes enhanced timelines and implements processes to track and monitor the progress of the projects and the accomplishments of key objectives
  • Responsible for setting team meetings, setting agenda, providing supportive documentation, and maintain records
  • Generates reports, budgets, print materials, and creates and presents PowerPoint slides for trainings and public meetings.

Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Public or Business Administration, Social Sciences, Planning, or a related field, supplemented by three years of progressively responsible experience in program administration, or an equivalent combination of training and experience is required.
