KTU+A is seeking a planning project manager to lead military planning projects, with an emphasis on master planning, facility programming, facility requirements, facility management programs, force protection, economic analysis and capital improvement plans. Responsibilities will include site visits, project research, site investigations, project documentation, client presentations and team management.
Qualifications:
  • Eight or more years of military planning experience (Navy, Marine Corps, Army, Air Force).
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Powerpoint).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Access, InDesign, and ArcGIS v10 or AutoCAD a plus.
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in planning, landscape architecture, architecture, engineering, or urban and environmental studies.
  • Professional certification or licensure (AICP certification preferred).
  • Excellent writing, analytical, and oral communication skills.
  • Must be personable and have a professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
  • Motivated self-starter able to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to travel.

INTERDISCIPLINARY COMMUNITY PLANNER/ENGINEER/ARCHITECT, Naval Station Great Lakes - Great Lakes, IL

Job Description:

INTERDISCIPLINARY COMMUNITY PLANNER/ENGINEER/ARCHITECT GS 12

This position is within the Public Works Department at Naval Station Great Lakes, Great Lakes, IL.

Responsibilities include various tasks necessary to develop DD1391 facilities project documentation, performing space management analysis, processing site approvals and shore infrastructure planning for a wide variety of military facilities, administrative buildings &supporting infrastructure. This position is open to personnel in or eligible for the following GS series: 0020-Community Planner; 0808- Architect; 0810-Civil Engineer; 0830-Mechanical Engineer; 0850-Electrical Engineer; 0896-Industrial Engineer.
