Intermediate Planner, Minnesota Department of Transportation

 Title: Intermediate Planner

Salary: $46,729 - $67,839 Annually

Employment: Full-time

 

About the position: You will provide professional planning support and analysis related to for the Office of Transit and Active Transportation’s statewide multimodal planning activities; support coordination with partners and provide coordination for implementation of initiatives tied to walking, bicycling, and transit in Minnesota and within MnDOT. This position will be involved with US Bicycle Route planning, planning for mitigating the effects of climate change on people walking, and MnDOT’s Statewide Bicycle System Plan update.

 

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Planning, Geography, Urban Studies, Sociology, or Political Science.

OR

One (1) years of professional experience that demonstrates the following are required: (below)

  • Experience with planning and/or transportation
  • Experience with statistical analysis using spreadsheets or database applications
  • Written and verbal communication skills sufficient to prepare written documents and establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external partners
  • Experience with quantitative and qualitative research techniques
