Responsibilities
SUMMARY
Plans, directs and implements company environmental programs by performing the following duties personally or through other supervisors and managers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES
-Writes and implements environmental policies and procedures in compliance with local, state and federal rules and regulations.
-Conducts routine inspections for 22 company locations to detect potential hazards and compliance with company policy and local, state and federal regulations.
-Plans and manages environmental programs to train managers, supervisors and employees on proper handling and disposal of hazardous material.
-Leads environmentally related investigations related to company policy or governmental regulations. Cooperates in the preparation of material and evidence for use in responding to legal or regulatory inquiries.
-Provides oversight for all company industrial waste handling to ensure regulatory compliance
(i.e RCRA, non-RCRA universal waste etc.).
-Updates and submits environmental permits/reports for 22 locations, including: California Air Resources Board Annual Report, Annual CUPA Plans/ Permit to Operate, SPCC plans, Hazardous waste minimization-SB 14 reports, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans, Air Quality Control District permitting (fuel tanks, paint booths, stationary gen sets, vehicle emissions), DTSC annual hauler registration, DTSC Used Oil Hauling Quarterly Report,
-Manage California BIT Inspections, Annual Wastewater Surcharge report, EPA Verification Questionnaires, Hazardous Waste Generator Fees,
-Create and manage a tracking system for company hazardous waste manifests.
-Manage/coordinate the follow up of regulatory inspections at Quinn facilities.
-Coordinates emergency response for reportable spills and/or environmentally related accidents.

Requirements
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in related field preferred; three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
